Last Friday, "Square Enix" officially announced at the Disney "D23" convention in Anaheim, California, that "Kingdom Hearts 4" would be released in late 2027. The following Saturday night, Nomura made a surprise appearance at a special panel held as part of "D23", taking the stage to share important details about the project.
Nomura, who has directed every game in the series, addressed players who are skeptical about the release date set for late 2027, emphasizing that there is no reason for the date to be delayed:
I have seen some people online saying that “the game’s exact release date may be delayed again.” I want to clarify the matter completely. That will not happen. I hope fans will eagerly look forward to the game’s release in 2027. We have just begun the project’s marketing campaign, and we will share more news soon.
