EA Shareholders Approve Saudi Arabia’s $5.5 Billion Investment

Shareholders of "Electronic Arts" (EA) supported the decision to increase the Public Investment Fund’s (PIF) stake in the company.

At the shareholders’ annual meeting, investors opposed several proposals seeking to limit the influence of Saudi Arabia’s "Savvy Games Group" over the company. Instead, they backed EA’s current board of directors and financial reports. PIF currently owns approximately 9% of EA, making Saudi Arabia one of the company’s largest foreign investors.

This support is considered an important step in the kingdom’s strategy to become a global hub for the gaming industry as part of its "Vision 2030" plan. EA, meanwhile, emphasizes that this major investment will help support the company’s long-term growth and finance its future projects.
